If you go on a weekday from 11:30AM-6:30PM, you will not have a long wait.
When making a reservation, you need to write down your name by yourself. You will write down your family name, number of people, and a contact number.
In Taiwan, most of the hotpots will have a pre-set dish for you, but at this restaurant, you get to choose for yourself! 😀 If you don’t want to give any more food to your friends because of your pickiness, this is the place to go!
Pic
You can tell the price of the dish by what size and color the dish is. On the wall, they have the prices on all of the dishes, so you can easily tell how much each item is. At the end, they will count your dishes to total up your bill. Each person needs to pay an additional 50 NTD to use the hotpot.
When you have finished picking what you want, a restaurant worker will help you cook your meat with different spices first. After they cook that, they will put the meat on a separate plate, so you can put the cooked meat into the hotpot at a later time. The staff recommend getting all the meat you want for the whole meal at the beginning because they will help you cook it for you only the first time. If you go back to get more meat at a later time, the meat will not have as much flavor as cooking it beforehand. You can take the sauces and tea by yourself for free.
By the time we got to the restaurant, it was a little earlier than 6:00PM. We only had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. The restaurant offers very large tables, so you can sit with friends or strangers alike! This place would be good to come with a group of friends.
Convenience: 4/5
The place is close to the MRT, and you only have to walk 5-8 minutes to get there. This restaurant is in an alley, and the name of the place is obscured by an electric pole.
Taste: 4/5
You get to pick all the dishes, and you generally know what you want. The soup has a very heavy taste, so that day, I drank a lot of water because of it. The cooked meats going into the hotpot is a good suggestion.
Environment: 3/5
The restaurant is a bit small, so when there is a large crowd of people, it can be a challenge to move around easily.
Cleanliness: 3/5
The floor and the bathroom were relatively clean. The dishes that you picked to eat were stacked on each other and may or may not have been the cleanest.
The price is similar to a normal pre-set hotpot. So, if you have more people to share your food with, the more food you can taste and the cheaper your meal could be. So get your friends, and try out this restaurant.
